Unequal Worlds: Poverty, Growth, Inequality and the Role of International Cooperation
Shifting patterns of poverty in the world require the Netherlands to modify its development cooperation policy, in the AIV’s view. Donors’ traditional anti-poverty programmes are no longer adequate. For this reason, more attention should be paid in Dutch development policy to interventions via corporate social responsibility and to enlisting multilateral and civil society organisations in efforts aimed at fostering equality for disadvantaged groups and at protecting human rights and labour standards.
