The Arab Region: An Uncertain Future

In this report the AIV discusses the reforms under way in a number of countries in the Arab region since late 2010, examining them in the light of two trends: the Arab people’s powerful desire for a greater say in the governance of their own countries, and the growing emphasis on Islamic identity. In the AIV’s view, developments in the region necessitate a fresh approach to the Middle East peace process.
