The Post-2015 Development Agenda: The Millennium Development Goals in Perspective

In the AIV’s view, the Millennium Development Goals need to be followed up. At the same time, the eight existing goals on poverty reduction and development should also be renewed. In fact, this constitutes a unique opportunity to thoroughly redefine the international development agenda. Unlike the formulation of the MDGs, however, this process should give a key role to developing countries.
