Deployment of the Armed Forces: Interaction Between National and International Decision-Making

In this report the AIV concludes that there is no need for new constitutional amendments regarding the deployment of the armed forces. The current procedures for deploying Dutch military personnel work well. A constitutional amendment codifying parliamentary consent for such deployment – as proposed in the Van Baalen report – is therefore unnecessary.
