Europe: A Priority!

In the AIV’s view the government and the political parties do not take due account of the significance of Europe for the Netherlands. In this report the AIV makes recommendations on matters such as asylum and migration, internal and external security and energy supply security. In each of these areas, more European cooperation is required. What is more, the EU’s decision-making procedures urgently need to be streamlined, and a number of treaty amendments should be pursued as a matter of priority.
