Conventional Arms Control: Urgent Need, Limited Opportunities

This AIV advisory report deals with conventional arms control in Europe, the proliferation of and trade in light arms, arms exports and export controls, and regional and global arms control. The AIV examines the various aspects of conventional arms control in the knowledge that, while conventional arms control is often a necessity, there are only limited opportunities for putting it into practice.
